The Northwest School provides many opportunities for students to experience the natural environment beyond the city, through sea kayaking, rock climbing, igloo building, skiing, hiking, biking and camping.
The Outdoor Program offers one-day and two-night trips throughout the year. These trips are designed to develop life-long recreational skills and habits that are safe and ecologically sound, with an emphasis on environmental ethics.
Students can participate in the Outdoor Program on a trip-by-trip basis to earn credit toward the P.E. requirement.

Ski Bus Season 2012 is complete. This year NWS went to Snoqualmie Pass seven times and took 243 passengers. It was a great season ending with few crowds and plenty of soft snow on our last trip.
